All diesen Ansätzen ist jedoch gemein, dass Design eine Debatte zwischen gegensätzlichen Ansichten auslöst – zu Themen wie Technologie, Alltagsleben, der Rolle von Emotion und Expression im Lebensumfeld sowie einer ganzen Reihe weiterer Probleme, die gemeinsam das Gewebe unseres postmodernen, postindustriellen Lebens ausmachen.
