Here, the inductive and the capacitive reactance are the frequency dependent. If the frequency increases, the inductive reactance increases and capacitive reactance decreases. At resonance, the circuit power factor is unity. For a unity power factor, the net reactance in the series circuit is zero. Therefore, at resonance condition, the circuit impedance is equal to resistance.
