The term did not seem polite enough and also, more importantly, tended to imply too much of commitments on behalf of the underdeveloped as well as the developed countries' governments. A number of euphemisms, all playing down the dynamic and value-loaded aspect of the earlier used term, entered the field.

Let us proceed to a brief synthesis of the essays included in this part of the book. The paper written by Amano on the stability conditions in the real and monetary models of international trade, considers such conditions as a whole, in contrast to the traditional approach, where different assumptions are established, depending on whether the author refers to problems of pure theory or monetary theory of international trade.
