The availability of satellite services enabling wireless connections is critical in speeding up the increase in numbers of internet consumers.
As is well known in international business, the increase in the degree of globalization could lead to a potential increase in the strategic gain of a firm from its location advantage. However, the complexity of a global multi-location operation would ultimately limit the number of locations in which the operation takes place. Issues, such as networking activities among sites, communication costs, political and economic risks, cross-cultural differences, and the knowledge of the market are among factors that limit the range and the types of locations in which a multinational corporation can operate.
