Philosophy in the language of management Philosophical moments run like a rich vein of gold through the theory and practice of management. Questioning the conventions and assumptions of management in the face of disruptions permeates management literature. The ability to open up new possibilities and reframe the terms in which managers make sense of behaviour is a skill or attunement that is urgently needed. The language that management theorists used to describe the practices of management in the context of change is suggestive of a philosophical approach.
